A Snapshot of Your Day 

As Commodity Manager for Advisory Services you are driving improvement opportunities across Siemens Energy to actively lead the procurement strategy of Legal, Finance and business advisory services. By analyzing spend and contract data, you identify commercial opportunities to drive Siemens Energy forward. With your creative und pragmatic ideas you can develop plans to exploit these commercial opportunities. Your collaborative way-of-working while developing these plans with cross-functional experts makes you a valued member of our team. Your ability to negotiate and your strength in building strategic supplier relationships is a strong contributor to satisfy our stakeholder needs.

How You’ll Make an Impact 

We are looking for a Senior Commodity Management professional for our Advisory Services Category, within the Indirect Material Procurement organization.

From this position you would support the effective and optimal sourcing of the different services, for commodities like Audits, Management & Functional Consulting. Finance, Legal, Tax …, and required by the operating areas of SGRE global organization in collaboration with the Corporate Procurement Category Teams, Regions, and local stakeholders.

  • You contribute to the development of global strategies of Advisory Services with cross-functional partners, managing the commodity globally / x-organizationally.
  • You will create and implement strategies for Siemens Energy globally, incl. the selection of suppliers and service partners.
  • Manage relationship with direct suppliers and sub-tier suppliers globally leading to pooling/bundling of demands in close collaboration with our partners.
  • Define commodity structure and supplier landscape; develop and implement material efficiency programs/ measures to achieve the maximum contribution to the targets
  • Define and implement negotiation concepts and strategies to increase savings; negotiate frame contracts, implement E-auctions
  • Identify and mitigate procurement risks, opportunities, and market forces to avoid potential damage/ exploit potential opportunities through tailored risk/opportunity management
  • Build and maintain business relationships with executive management of major suppliers to furnish and obtain timely information regarding market conditions, trends, and their effect on price and supply
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring the coverage of needs from business / execution areas
  • You will jointly develop sourcing strategies and ensure that Siemens Energy’s interests are represented appropriately.
  • You will create transparency of all Advisory Services related cost globally and will develop process improvements and savings opportunities to support demand management within the business and contribute to a more cost-efficient organization.

What You Bring

    • 7+ years of experience within Strategic Procurement (tender preparation and execution, negotiation, supplier relationship management, …)
    • BA/BS in Business Management, Economics, Legal or Procurement.
    • Strong analytical, planning and project management skills; results driven personality; excellent and experienced negotiation skills in procurement.
    • Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal business and external collaboration partners/suppliers at senior management level.
    • Previous experiences in Legal, Consulting environment will be highly appreciated.
    • Good usage of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, PowerBI and ERP systems (SAP)
    • Proficiency in English as a must. Spanish will be appreciated.
    • Good team spirit and stakeholder’s management.

The procurement organization is responsible for managing 3rd party spend as well as developing procurement strategies of Indirect material fields that will allow Siemens Energy to maintain competitive position in marketplace and support company’s vision to become the most valued energy technology company.

Our professional procurement team utilizes modern tools and processes to develop global sourcing strategy for assigned commodities, that delivers optimal supply cost, quality, on time delivery, ESG (Environment, Social & Governance) compliant and VUCA resilient supply chain to improve competitive advantage for Siemens Energy.

You will be part of a global, international, and multicultural team in charge of the Indirect Material Procurement. From this strategic role we contribute to generate added value in categories like IT, Mobility Services, Office & Factory supplies, Advisory Services, Engineering Services, Temporary Labor and Real Estate & Capex
