A Snapshot of Your Day

You are part of Germany’s energy transition and actively contribute to shaping it. In this role, you work closely with Engineering, Quality Management, Production Planning, Manufacturing, and Project Management as your key interface partners. You communicate daily with suppliers, welcome them to our factory, and regularly visit supplier sites yourself. SAP serves as your primary working tool. Established processes support you in carrying out your responsibilities, while you continuously analyze and improve these processes to increase productivity and efficiency.

The procurement team consists of two groups responsible for sourcing all materials, components, and services required for pre-assembly and final assembly. In addition, the teams take ownership of cross-functional topics such as Continuous Improvement (CIP), Expediting, and PPM.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Manage all procurement-related processes for your assigned material groups and are responsible for ensuring on-time, cost-efficient, and quality-compliant order execution.
  • You are responsible for operational and logistical material planning within your area of responsibility (analyzing global market trends, defining preferred suppliers, consolidating procurement activities, etc.).
  • Expedite placed orders and are responsible for processing and resolving supplier-related non-conformance costs, as well as managing supplier claims of any kind.
  • Contribute to the implementation and application of globally defined methods, processes, and systems to ensure high process efficiency and compliance (e.g., compliance-compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) processes, procurement guidelines, and IT systems).
  • Identify, document, and realize cost-saving opportunities, thereby contributing to business success while ensuring transparency of results.
  • Ensure close collaboration with internal customers (requestors/stakeholders) to foster strong relationships and early involvement. Conduct supplier negotiations independently. Optimize procurement processes together with internal stakeholders and suppliers.

What You Bring

  • A technical or commercial qualification combined with several years of relevant professional experience. Alternatively, you have recently completed a university degree in a business-related or technical field.
  • You possess a technical understanding of the various requirements involved in direct material procurement, as well as basic knowledge of contract management (purchase agreements, work contracts, and service agreements).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, a flexible working style, and assertiveness are among your key strengths.
  • You are fluent in both German and English, written and spoken; additional foreign language skills are an advantage.
  • You are proficient in SAP and common Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, a pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset, and a hands-on approach complete your profile.
