We are seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to drive growth in our Grid Technologies business across the Middle East. The role focuses on developing customer relationships, managing strategic bids, and delivering profitable order intake in high-voltage solutions and substation projects.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Drive business development by identifying and pursuing new opportunities with utilities, developers, and industrial clients, while managing the full sales cycle from opportunity development through bidding, negotiation, and contract closure
- Build and sustain strategic relationships with key stakeholders including utilities, EPCs, and developers, while analyzing market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform sales strategy
- Own the accuracy and quality of market and sales data, maintaining Salesforce and the MI tool with up-to-date qualitative and quantitative information, and communicating market demands to Headquarters teams
- Develop marketing concepts, business plans, and go-to-market strategies for relevant portfolio launches, and prepare compelling customer acquisition materials and presentations
- Lead pre-acquisition and acquisition activities, including feasibility studies, pricing strategy, pre-qualification documentation, bid/no-bid decisions, and project winning strategies in coordination with tendering management
- Coordinate technical clarifications and contract negotiations through to order signing, manage key stakeholders, and contribute to unit order intake and gross profit targets while upholding QA, EHS, and Siemens Compliance standards
What You Bring
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, providing the technical foundation needed to engage credibly with clients and technical teams
- 5–10 years of experience in sales and business development of high-voltage substations, products, and services, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Demonstrated expertise in grid technologies within Middle East markets, including familiarity with regional utilities, EPCs, and procurement dynamics
- Strong technical knowledge of high-voltage equipment and systems, including GIS/AIS, transformers, substations, and automation, control, and protection solutions
- Solid commercial acumen and contract negotiation skills, with the ability to structure and close complex, high-value deals
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities, coupled with the resilience to succeed in a fast-paced, competitive tendering environment
