We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Testing Lead to join our Remote Expert Center (REC). The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our projects and service requests. This position requires a strong leader who can interface effectively with multiple departments, manage testing processes, and provide the necessary support to project teams. How You’ll Make an Impact
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
- Serve as the primary interface between Manufacturing, Engineering, Project Management, Bid Management, Cybersecurity, Hotline Support, and Research & Development (R&D) to ensure alignment and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Project Oversight:
- Oversee the testing processes to ensure that projects and service requests are executed in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to budget constraints and quality standards.
- Resource Allocation:
- Ensure that project teams have the necessary tools, resources, and support to complete their tasks effectively. This includes managing access to testing environments and tools.
- Factory Acceptance Testing Coordination:
- Schedule and allocate Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) floor space, ensuring that testing activities are conducted efficiently and that all necessary resources are available.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential bottlenecks and risks in the testing process, implementing solutions to mitigate issues and keep projects on track.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Mentor and guide the testing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional development.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate documentation of testing processes, results, and project status, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in I&C system assembly and testing, with a proven track record of leadership.
- Extensive experience in testing and troubleshooting I&C systems.
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
- Strong understanding of instrumentation and control system principles and components.
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Siemens Energy I&C systems.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in I&C system assembly and testing.
- Certification in control systems engineering or related fields.
Working Conditions:
- This position may require occasional travel to client sites for installation and support.
- Ability to lift and move equipment as needed for assembly and installation tasks.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
