A Snapshot of Your Day

Are you ready to play a crucial role in unifying and regulating procurement solutions globally? We are seeking a dynamic individual to lead the deployment of the S4E@GT initiative as the primary authority on Procurement for Grid Technologies (GT). As the Global Procurement Process & Tools Lead, you will champion harmonization and standardization across Grid Technologies, aligning with Siemens Energy strategies and the Global Process Owner (GPO). Your role within our GT Products (PR) Procurement Team will focus on ensuring process excellence in operational procurement during the implementation of SAP S/4HANA & SAP ARIBA. Your expertise in change management will be vital as you drive the synchronization and continuous improvement of procurement processes and systems' effectiveness amid Siemens Energy's system transformation, advancing our digitalization journey.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Assist individuals in Execution Units responsible for Process & Tools to develop a "reference architecture" for each EU and organizational structure. Establish standards for each capability set to be implemented globally during the rollout. The decision and release will be a collaborative effort between the Process & Tools person and the Capability Lead.
  • Ensure that each Procurement subtopic (e.g., “BOM under PLM Capability” or “Offer Calculations under Sales Capability”) presents the optimal solution for GT globally across Products, Solutions, and Services, aligning with GPOs’ Key Design Decisions to standardize processes and tools wherever feasible.
  • Oversee the completion and synchronization of process descriptions and updates in the Process House, maintaining visibility and reporting accessibility percentages of these reference architectures.
  • Guarantee the implementation of established standards in all Regional Entities engaging in GT Business globally.
  • Manage the “Request for Deviation” procedure, validating with S4E@GT leadership, escalating issues to Execution Units, and monitoring exceptions.
  • Actively support individual rollouts (e.g., Unify#03 in Weiz/Linz) of S4E’s Procurement processes, providing consultation, requirements definition, and user training.
  • Serve as the responsible figure for Procurement within the “AGORA Integration Team” and as the Single Point of Contact for gap analysis and communication with the S4E Unify template team.
  • Examine gaps within the Procurement Template, suggesting strategies to bridge these disparities, and deliver comprehensive expertise in procurement procedures to achieve operational excellence for internal partners.
  • Identify problem areas, provide counsel based on system and business process understanding, and work collaboratively with stakeholders to refine processes across the value chain.
  • Address and resolve procurement issues within factory settings, offering insights on purchasing documentation, ensuring data precision through material master knowledge, enhancing material planning and procurement operations with MRP proficiency
  • Closely interact with teams involved in operational procurement, supply management, supplier lifecycle control, sourcing and negotiation, contract regulation, and master data stewardship.
What You Bring
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with proven experience in project management, including leading cross-functional teams
  • Extensive professional experience with procurement methods and processes within a global company
  • In-depth understanding and hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, preferably also with SAP Ariba
  • Strong communication and change management skills with a talent for inspiring and motivating people
  • Strong data analysis skills in Power BI and Microsoft Excel
  • Flexibility to travel and stay at factory and office locations to conduct training and assess process compliance
  • Fluent command of English and German languages in writing and speaking
