A Snapshot of Your Day
How You’ll Make an Impact
• Support plants to design structural repair methods to correct deviations from nominal design, with a high focus on blade viability (Aerodynamic and structural), repair cost and HSE aspects.
• Identify areas of improvement to increase blade quality or reduce repair cost and address them using levers such as nominal design change (design for manufacturing approach), tolerance updates or repair method improvements.
• Support efforts for production innovation and automatization for large blade manufacturing.
• Support the service department when damage occurs to blades during handling or during operation up tower. Establishing root cause and defining containment plans such as inspections and repairs are some of the team’s core responsibilities in such cases.
• Run structural analysis studies including calculations, simulations, and mechanical testing.
• Function as a “mediator” and facilitator of tasks between organizations as well as between plant operations.
• Coordination local vs TE; plant interface, Direct discussion with plant on ongoing topics
• Point of contact providing direct feedback on current issues
• Alignment on quick fixes, Non conformities and Production Tests for improvement
