Regional Sales Proposal Manager – Compression
As the Regional Sales Proposal Manager at Siemens Energy Compression, you will work with the sales team to develop proposals and reach sales targets. Collaborate closely with customer relationship teams to connect engineering, supply chain, operations, and global manufacturing hubs. Develop advanced service offerings for compression products, supporting North & Latin America and global operations for growth & excellence. This position will directly report to the Global Head of Sales & Bid Management for a division in the Siemens Energy compression sector. We are looking for a highly experienced, self-motivated, dynamic, customer-focused leader that looks at shaping the Compression business for future generations!
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Manage the bid and proposal process for diverse projects involving various compressor types. Understand client needs, craft technical solutions, strategize, engage decision makers, and navigate complex sales environments.
- Propel expansion of service business within all primary markets and product range encompassing Modernization & Upgrades, Repairs, Field Services, Parts, Controls, Service Programs, & Digitalization.
- Apply sharp business sense to craft and present a compelling value proposition that supports company expansion and financial objectives.
- Establish and nurture connections with Siemens Energy collaborators and partners for custom solutions and satisfied clients.
- Partner with executives to establish and deploy a detailed sales approach for seamless integration throughout the regional operations.
- Participate and potentially lead Siemens Energy business growth initiatives as needed.
- Monitor market & industry trend activity.
- Perform front-end technical evaluations, perform basic calculations, and conduct preliminary design/proposal review meetings to mitigate technical risks.
- Develop clear technical/commercial proposals and present data to customers (internal and external, as required) to capture profitable business for the company.

What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Chemical) required, along with 5+ years in technical sales, bid management, or business development in oil & gas, power generation, or industrial services with a successful track record.
- Strong knowledge & diverse background in various compressors or industrial rotating equipment suppliers. Previous experience working for a Compression or major rotating equipment supplier is preferred.
- Possessing a strategic focus with in-depth familiarity of centrifugal compressors, reciprocating compressors, or geared compressors, coupled with a grasp of compressor performance and application principles.
- Compressor & System knowledge – 5+ years of firsthand experience in Compressor engineering, including aero & mechanical design, impeller fabrication, rotor construction, seals / bearings / couplings, assembly, testing, installation, servicing and repair of API-617 compressors. System knowledge in lube & seal packages, process controls such as startup, suction throttle, recycle & anti-surge control.
- Application knowledge – Ability to “baseline” subject compressor with minimum required data (API datasheets, compressor cross-section). Promptly develop high-level solutions to initiate dialogue with clients.
- Experience working with multinational organizations and in diverse cultural environments, demonstrating strong intercultural communication skills.
- Effective at analysis, organization, and leadership, along with the skill to generate and carry out crucial outcomes on schedule and with excellent output.
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and comfortable presenting to internal & external Senior Leadership.
- Effective networking and relationship-building abilities, inspiring and motivating collaborators at all levels of the organization.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% within the region and internationally, as required.
- Fluent in English, with additional languages seen as an advantage.
- Competent in working with PowerPoint, Excel, Salesforce.com, & Tableau tools are preferred.
