A Snapshot of Your Day

The department for Erection & Commissioning of large power transformers (LPT) in Weiz is an integral part of both the Siemens Energy Transformer Service Operation Austria and the Transformer Factory Service Network. This department is tasked with performing installation and commissioning jobs on a global scale.

To uphold the highest standards of quality, it is essential that our field service technicians receive detailed training and remain informed about all relevant technical and procedural updates, including transformer design, work procedures, equipment training, and safety standards.

In your role as the Quality Ambassador for Technical Field Service, you will focus on two primary areas: onboarding and training support for newly hired field service personnel in E&C Weiz and Field Service Hub EU, as well as equipment management for E&C Weiz. We are looking forward to you joining our team!


How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Support the interviewing and onboarding process for new field service personnel in our factory and the FS Hub EU.
  • Host new hires by coordinating factory insights, on-site visits, and training sessions.
  • Participate in bi-weekly and monthly meetings with FS Hub EU personnel via MS Teams.
  • Provide back-office support for non-project-related topics for new field service personnel.
  • Assist in ramping up the Power Transformer Training Center in Cairo, Egypt.
  • Maintain and expand the installation equipment and vehicle fleet for Weiz, and act as the contact person for improvement suggestions from field technicians.

What You Bring

  • Successfully completed technical training (apprenticeship/technical college) with a mechanical or electrical focus.
  • Independent and proactive working style, with excellent organizational skills and a confident appearance.
  • Proficient in MS Office products, with strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to convey sophisticated technical content in an understandable manner, guiding trainees through practical exercises.
  • Very good knowledge of English and German, both written and spoken.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.

At Siemens Energy we offer competitive compensation and additional benefits based on your performance, experience and qualification. Due to the Austrian legal regulations, we are obliged to state the minimum salary for this position. Please note that there is a clear willingness for a higher compensation considering your individual expectations, expertise and skills. The minimum salary for this position in the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry is in the amount of € 46.880,68 /year for a full-time position (38,5 h/week).
