A Snapshot of your Day

The Project Manager in the Sustainable Energy Solutions group develops and leads large customer projects, according to defined Project Management (PM) standards and customer requirements, with end-to-end responsibility for project financial results, quality, schedule and Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS).

The role is based in the Siemens Energy offices in Orlando, Florida, and offers a flexible working environment with a mix of office work, remote work, and travel to project locations.

The Project Manager organizes and leads the project team to fulfill the project goals through meetings and clear and efficient communication structures with all relevant partners.

How You’ll Make an Impact

The specific responsibilities assigned to the position include:

  • The Project Manager has the overall responsibility for the execution of the project through final acceptance by the Customer, including financial performance, management of risks and opportunities, claim strategy and claim management, maintaining the project time schedule, and EHS performance.
  • Principal interface person towards the customer for the execution of the project, including management of customer expectations, and eventual clarification of customer targets and requirements.
  • Responsible for development and implementation of the project execution plan, outlining the project strategy to fulfill all contractual requirements and successfully implement the project in accordance with Siemens Energy guidelines.
  • Ensuring understanding and flow-down of the project contract requirements to the relevant team members and partners.
  • Responsible for achieving internal targets and important metrics.
  • Responsible for project compliance with contracts, agreed specifications, requirements, standards, and regulations.
  • The Project Manager leads the Project Management Team and delegates responsibilities to the team members to ensure efficient and successful project execution.
  • Minimize non-conformance costs and ensure recording and communication of lessons learned.
  • Involvement in the proposal stage of projects, including negotiation of contracts and supporting the development of bids.

What You Bring

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field or equivalent is required.
  • 10+ years of experience in a combination of technical engineering and project management roles on mid- to large scale projects in a relevant industry.
  • Experience leading a project team is required.
  • Project management experience with large energy projects is preferred.
  • Experience with risk mitigation, and risk and opportunity management strongly preferred.
  • Must have strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills; Spanish fluency is a plus.
  • Proficient in contract and claim management for mid- to large-scale industrial projects, including negotiation.
  • Availability to travel regularly to project locations, domestically and abroad (travel amount will vary).
  • All candidates must be authorized or able to obtain authorization to work in the United States.
