A Snapshot of Your Day
As a qualified Piping Engineer Installation within Field Operations you will work on customer sites and have a good understanding of power plant activities. You will have an understanding of mechanical and electrical activities to assist you in your day-to-day duties and be able to demonstrate these across different technologies. Undertaking a range of maintenance activities across various customer sites globally in large and small field specialist teams while showing motivated, self-conscious, and respectful manners. You will be safety conscious with a Right First-Time attitude.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Modification and correctional work of piping at jobsites
- Supervision and monitoring of oil flushing and pressure tests at the pipe systems in
- Siemens Energy scope of supply
- Participates in the test steps specifically indicated for this purpose by the product supplier
- in the assembly and commissioning manuals or in the contract.
- Performing and monitoring of field erection documentation checks
- Modification and correctional work of piping at jobsites
- Observes the performance of work steps and inspects the assembly/commissioning of
- the supplied components.
- Advises the Purchaser or takes on the technical guidance for the performance of
- specified tasks
What You Bring
- Mechanical Engineer qualified to degree level (RQF Level 6)
- Specialised training and certification in Siemens Energy turbine and generator design
- Essential Skills required for the position:
- Detailled knowledge of Siemens Energy turbine and generator design
- Fabrication of piping according to an isometric diagram and implementation of pressure
- and leak tests
- Employment Experience required for the position (include years of experience
- required):
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in new power plant commissioning prior to service
- assignments plus minimum of 3 years service experience in order to be able to carry out
- extensive service assignments
