A Snapshot of Your Day

Will manage the chemical additives in the waste stream to ensure proper pH adjustment and metals precipitation of incoming wastewater and will perform specific maintenance activities on equipment to ensure uninterrupted operation in the Gibsonton Florida Location.


How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Management of discharge volumes to maintain compliance with the permit limits; management of filter cake generated during the process; calibrations, emergency response, and notifications, collection of water samples on a routine basis and as requested to assure compliance with the permit.
  • Will handle the chemical additives in the waste stream to ensure proper pH adjustment and metal precipitation of incoming wastewater.
  • Perform specific maintenance activities on equipment to ensure uninterrupted operation. The individual shall also ensure timely reports and reporting to the regulators.
  • Will run the main hazardous waste storage area and satellite storage areas. Primary functions include conducting routine, documented inspections of the waste containers and waste staging area(s); scheduling of waste pickups; signing of hazardous waste manifests and other applicable forms required in the proper management of the waste; organizing wastes in the holding area to assure incompatible wastes are kept separate; and, generally handling all waste, both hazardous and non-hazardous, following written policies and procedures and under applicable State and Federal regulations.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the Manager or Supervisor.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Waste Water Operator.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
  • This position will require an export license from the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Issuance of any required license is a prerequisite for this position. The candidate must be able to work with export-controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.
