A Snapshot of Your Day
In this role, you will lead collaboration with Global Competence Centers in Germany to implement and enhance SLM and Laser Cladding-based repair processes. Acting as the technical authority on the shop floor, you will drive the resolution of complex technical challenges while advancing process capability through structured improvements and global feedback.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead the technology transfer and industrialization of SLM (LPBF) and Laser Cladding (DED) repair processes for large gas turbine blades.
  • Own the local implementation strategy, ensuring robust integration into production operations.
  • Adapt and optimize global processes to local conditions while maintaining compliance with engineering standards.
  • Serve as the primary technical interface between Dammam and Global Competence Centers, facilitating bidirectional knowledge exchange.
  • Provide advanced in-process engineering guidance and support complex decision-making on the shop floor.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support capability development in additive manufacturing.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy, or a related field.
  • 5–10 years of experience in additive manufacturing, turbine repair, or advanced manufacturing environments.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Selective Laser Melting (SLM / LPBF) and Laser Cladding / Directed Energy Deposition (DED).
  • Deep understanding of nickel-based superalloys, metallurgy, and repair processes.
  • Proven experience in industrialization, process optimization, and technical problem-solving.
  • Strong knowledge of quality standards, NDT methods, and process validation.
