Position Title: Lead Technician – Wind Turbines

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Lead Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the performance and reliability of wind turbine assets across the region. Acting as a senior technical expert on-site, you will lead maintenance and troubleshooting activities while coordinating daily service operations and supporting team performance.

Your day will involve resolving complex technical issues, supervising field activities, and ensuring that all service interventions are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with quality standards. You will also mentor junior technicians and contribute to maintaining a high level of operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Diagnose and resolve complex electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults on wind turbines
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, including system commissioning and component integration
• Conduct advanced testing and technical analysis using specialized tools and SCADA systems
• Provide 2nd and 3rd level technical support to customers, both on-site and remotely
• Coordinate and lead daily service operations, assigning tasks and supervising technician activities
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of service reports, maintenance logs, and technical documentation
• Identify sales opportunities during customer interactions and support service growth initiatives
• Ensure adherence to service processes, quality standards, and operational timelines
• Enforce Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards and ensure compliance on-site
• Train and mentor junior technicians on technical procedures and safety practices
• Manage tools, spare parts, and equipment inventory to ensure operational readiness

What You Bring

• Vocational degree or secondary education in Electricity, Electromechanics, or a related technical field
• Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Wind Technician or in a similar technical service role
• Strong technical expertise in wind turbine systems, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components
• Experience with SCADA systems and diagnostic tools
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
• Experience in coordinating field operations and supervising technicians
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Good command of English (B1–B2 level minimum)
