A Snapshot of your Day:

As the Head of Turbine Operations (US) West team, you will lead and inspire a dedicated group of more than 15 engineers (Technical Project Managers for Blades and Vanes) based in the US. This leadership role focuses on driving team performance, ensuring quality, on-time delivery, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders including manufacturing, service, procurement, and program management on engine level to deliver high-impact turbine solutions.

You will be pivotal in developing your team’s capabilities, promoting continuous improvement, and globally aligning operational goals with Siemens Energy’s commitment to sustainable and reliable energy solutions.

  • Lead and inspire: Provide professional leadership to your team of more than 15 technical project managers for blades and vanes development, fostering an environment of drive, innovation, and high performance

  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, service, procurement, and program management on engine level to meet project and operational goals
  • Continuous improvement: Drive initiatives to optimize processes, tools, and methodologies within the team

What You Bring

  • Bachelors in mechanical engineering or similar technical degree. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10 years R&D project management or line management. Preferred experience in gas turbine design.
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Deep understanding of design activities for gas turbine / turbine project like aerodynamics, heat transfer, mechanical integrity, mechanical design, manufacturing and service.
  • Strategic thinking focused on execution, excellence and team performance
  • Strong communication, inter-cultural awareness, and presentation skills
  • A proactive mindset with analytical and organizational skills and the ability to communicate expertise for networking and change management.
  • Available for domestic travel
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer-sponsored visa requirements
