Head of STG Sales Mesoamerica

A Snapshot of Your Day

The Steam Turbine & Generators (STG) Head of Sales for Meso America region is responsible for all the sales related activities for after-market customers and the installed fleet of steam turbines and generators in the entire Mesoamerica region that includes Mexico, Central America and Caribbean.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • You will lead a team of multiple client managers and marketing professionals across the subregion and support all the main products and service lines such as Parts, Field Services, LTPs, Repairs, Digitalization and Mods & Ups business and also be responsible to bring repair work load for the Queretaro service shop in Mexico.
  • Accountable for leading all aspects of sales activities in the region and achieving the primary critical metrics including order entry volume, sales profit margin, market share, and customer satisfaction.
  • Smooth coordination and regular communication between region and the different STG factories/PCCs and technical support team located in Germany, Sweden, Brazil, USA and India.
  • The appropriate leadership skills are essential for this position. You will work towards achieving high level of motivation and satisfaction in your team by ensuring vertical and horizontal growth opportunities for your staff, organizing learning and development programs and promote a healthy & transparent work culture.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities, supervise competitors' activities, and stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and customer buying requirements.
  • You will ensure high level of customer satisfaction and engagement (measure by means of NPS scores) and thus ensuring a high service backlog which will be essential for business continuity.

What You Bring

  • Completed post-secondary education – University/College
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish language is very important.
  • 12-14 years’ experience in a sales / business development position.
  • Consistent track record in leading sales/marketing teams and global experience is a plus.
  • Understand the Mexican energy market, established personal relationship with key customers like CFE and Pemex will be a big plus.
  • Possess knowledge about the turbomachinery service industry, especially steam turbines and generators product lines.
  • Ability to lead multiple priorities by delivering on each quarter’s performance while building a pipeline for long term success.
  • Passion for learning and developing people.
  • Travel ~50% of the time
