A Snapshot of Your Day 

The Global Lead for Data Center Power Generation Sales will be crucial in expanding our Data Center business worldwide. Your role includes defining the global sales strategy for Power Generation solutions in the Data Center markets. This entails ensuring an optimal product-market fit for our offerings, from backup to baseload power applications. You will create a cross-regional ecosystem to align all relevant stakeholders and enable Regional Sales teams to effectively approach and sell to prospective customers. Additionally, you will serve as the global point of contact for customers on cross-regional topics. A deep understanding of the Data Center Infrastructure market, familiarity with relevant market players, and awareness of the latest developments are essential. Additionally, a proven track record in Sales within the Technology or Infrastructure industry is required.

How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • GS Data Center Strategy: Define strategy regarding go-to-market and related portfolio.
  • Data Center Ecosystem: Develop & build Data Center ecosystem in Gas Services to support pre-acquisition, bidding and negotiations phases.
  • Cross-organizational & regional exchange: Foster cross-regional information exchange & best practice sharing. Coordinate all Data Center related topics with related SE initiatives.
  • Sales Strategy Execution: Develop and execute global sales strategies to drive growth in new data center unit sales, ensuring alignment with business objectives and revenue targets.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored data center power generation solutions.
  • Target new clients in need of data center power generation solutions and derive respective business strategy for Gas Services.

What You Bring
  • University degree in economics, engineering, IT or similar, MBA is a plus
  • Several years of experience in data center, IT infrastructure, or technology-related industries

  • Highly experienced sales professional

  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to drive, manage and inspire a team
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and growing a client base
  • Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, network, and storage
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, strong strategic understanding to translate customer requirements into appropriate solutions
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in an intercultural environment with cross-regional working teams
  • Ability to inspire, empower and motivate a global sales team
  • Willingness to travel on a regular base
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers

About the Team

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
