A Snapshot of Your Day
The in-country EHS lead role has the responsibility to support the country chief executive officer (MD) and all SE businesses within the country, including the permanent establishment and affiliated companies, as needed on EHS issues identified as the core of the country.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Define the necessary controls to support the Country General Manager with oversight of compliance with EHS legal requirements and ensure that the EHS organizational structure within the country is aligned with legal requirements.
- Ensure business unit health and wellness programs are aligned with legal requirements. Drive, lead and maintain the implementation of country health and wellness programs and initiatives.
- Keep the country CEO and business organizations updated on local laws and regulations and the potential impact on business....
- Ensure compliance reporting to local authorities and regulatory agencies, and timely referral of incidents to country leadership staff members.
- Drive timely reporting of data (i.e. F-Gas consumption/import/export, WEEE products, dangerous goods transports, chemicals, waste generation) to local authorities as required.
- Collaborate with business units to align available EHS resources with project requirements.
- Responsibility to comply and/or implement compliance with current integrated management system protocols, policies, guidelines and competencies.
What You Bring
- Formal education in Occupational, Environmental, Health and Safety Management, Engineering or related field, with Qualifying Professional License according to Dec.1338/96.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in EHS and preferably with experience in energy business.
- Understanding of national regulations and laws with respect to health, safety and the environment
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to influence, coach and guide employees and management on EHS-focused requirements
- Knowledge of Management System standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001 / OHSAS 18001) and compliance requirements.
- English and Spanish, at professional job proficiency level.
