The Gas Turbine Service Repair Engineer role involves various engineering tasks connected to the operation, maintenance, fixing, and modifications & upgrades (M&U) for Siemens Energy Large Gas Turbines. This position is crafted to deliver timely and detailed engineering support to customers, ensuring high availability and reliability of Siemens Energy units.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Provide engineering support for technical inquiries related to Siemens Energy Large Gas Turbines, focusing primarily on Egypt and the Middle East.
• Serve as the engineering liaison between global gas turbine repair engineering and the Egypt Service Center, requiring 60% onsite presence (100% for the initial three months).
• Assist with near-shoring activities, including developing repair specifications and conducting data analysis for gas turbine components.
• Manage daily responsibilities such as quality notifications and source inspections to ensure operational efficiency.
• Ensure successful repair qualifications at the Egypt Service Center and conduct technology development and R&D support for the repair organization.
• Facilitate on-the-job training for new repair products and processes while promoting a zero-harm culture in all work environments.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical or Material Engineering.
• Basic understanding of gas turbine technology, preferably SGT 5 8000 H or SGT 5 4000 F.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, repair technologies, and materials.
• Structured approach to ensure successful qualifications and industrialization.
• Willingness to undertake global tasks beyond Egypt.
• Excellent communication skills in English, along with collaboration and networking abilities.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
