Produce tech drawings/specification and requirement for Gas turbine Fluid system according to Siemens Energy design standards, fulfill the task and target set by the company, solve the problems happened in the manufacturing process and provide technical support and trouble shooting.

How You’ll Make an Impact

As the industrial gas turbine fluid system engineer the responsibilities include fluid system optimization and localization; Project Execution; as well as Sales & Proposal support as needed.

Fluid system （Gas fuel system, Fuel oil system, Lube oil system, Cooling and sealing air system, Compressor wash system and so on） optimization includes:

•Develop Fluid system for Global market, based on Siemens Energy reference design to comply with  Code & Standard and special requirement. 

•Continuously look for new opportunities to optimize the Fluid system design including engineering & hardware or software (if applicable) via measures like new design development, new component/vendor introduction, scope of supply simplification, etc. 

•Involve in product development activities as responsible team member. Drives product quality and improvements to minimize non-conformances. Prepares and participates in reviews and FMEA’s.

•Develop and qualify China suppliers per Siemens Energy process for both China & Global market.

Project Execution includes:

•Config the fluid system according to project needs.

•Produce detail engineering drawings such as P&ID, part list, setting list and system description.

•Prepare specifications for ordering fluid system and components. 

•Attend functional acceptance test at vendor’s factory and inspect the equipment prior to shipment to project site as required.

•Provide design inputs to customers, Architect Engineers, or internal customers.

•Ensure design complies with local/global codes and customer specifications.

•Support installation and commissioning teams from the office and on project site as required.

Sales & Proposal support include (option):

•Evaluates, reviews and applies specifications and other technical documents, participates in customer clarification meetings, defines the system scope to meet customer requirements, provides the cost calculation and technical documents.

•Participate in customer negotiation meetings in China as required.

What You Bring

•Bachelor degree or above in process engineering with emphasis on power generation is preferred.

•3 years’ experience in Process Engineering; the design and analysis of power plant fluid systems (e.g. lube oil, hydraulic oil, gas fuel system) and application of the industry codes and standards, as well as local certification and China code requirements.

•Demonstrates a good grasp of knowledge and principles of field of specialization and applies through successful completion of assignments. Successfully applies knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization.

•Self-motivated with strong customer focus

•strong analytical and problem-solving skills

•strong emphasis on quality of work and Siemens Energy values

•Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form in English and in Chinese and to interface with in a wide range of organizations both internally and externally.

•Experience in process engineering department is preferred

•Experience in Gas turbine OEM / Fluid system manufacture is preferred.
