The Accounting and Controlling Hub North America provides Operation Support, Reporting and Analysis to support Siemens Energy business activities in North America. As a Foreign Currency Analyst, you will be working with the Cash & Bank/Foreign Exchange team to primarily be responsible for identifying foreign currency exposures and hedging for such, monitoring, analyzing and reconciling foreign currency cashflows, identifying corresponding hedges, transferring foreign currency gains/losses to the correct business unit, month-end close procedures, as well as automation/digitalization projects.

How You’ll Make an Impact

●       This role will impact the organization through ensuring timely and accurate hedging of currency exposure and appropriate accounting of derivatives. 

●       This position is part of the monthly closing process and will require a flexible schedule as there will be increased time requirements during peak periods of the month.

What You Bring 

●       Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting

●       5+ years progressive accounting or finance experience in large enterprise.

●       Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and SAP and/or related ERP System

●       Strong skills with Microsoft Office suite products

●       Strong skills in process improvement/visualization software such as Alteryx and Tableau

●       Strong analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex issues/topics.

●       Able to communicate clearly with peers and internal stakeholders.

●       Exhibits the highest level of integrity & accountability.

●       Detail focused with experience and ability managing multiple deliverables.

●       Flexibility and willingness for limited domestic or international travel (less than 5%).

●       Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules, and priorities.

●       Good communication, writing, meeting facilitation skills.

●       Highly skilled in collaborating with key stakeholders & other teams to drive effective solutions or resolutions.

●       Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently as well as work well in groups.

●       Ability to socialize ideas, make recommendations and gather team consensus to move forward.

About the Team

SE AC Regional Accounting Team for NA is responsible for all Foreign Exchange Hedging activity for the United States and Canada.
