A Snapshot of Your Day:
In the role of Financial Analyst - Prevailing Wages Specialist, you'll assist the Head of Regional Controlling with financial tasks. You'll support the Proposal team in preparing customer offers and bids linked to prevailing wages, help Project Managers, and ensure prevailing wage regulation compliance with Payroll. Your responsibilities include working with various teams like Operations, Procurement, Logistics, Tax, and Accounting, following processes, using digital platforms, and adhering to regulations.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Manage full-cycle accounting and month-end close processes, including work-in-process cost reviews, revenue accruals, and balance sheet adjustments.
- Conduct regular cost reviews, including variance analysis, and present findings to management to drive financial accuracy and efficiency.
- Support quarterly P&L reviews by analyzing variances against forecasts and budgets, identifying key trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with retention guidelines to facilitate audits and maintain adherence to Internal Control standards.
- Serve as a key business partner to project managers on prevailing wage requirements during offer and execution phases.
- Ensure we pay all employees on IRA-funded projects wages meeting or exceeding rates set by the Department of Labor under the Davis-Bacon Act and submit certified payroll reports to relevant government agencies.
What You Bring
- A bachelor’s degree in a finance-related field is required; Finance, Economics, Business, or Accounting preferred; CPA, MBA, or MS is a plus.
- Requires 3+ years in the financial related experience (3+ years with Prevailing Wage Specialist/Commercial Sales/CPM or Project Finance is preferred); additional years may lead to higher role.
- Understanding of GAAP and IFRS, strong skills in PC applications, primarily SAP and Microsoft Office, as well as strong analytical skills.
- Stay informed about changes in prevailing wage laws and regulations, including those specific to IRA projects, and implement necessary updates to compliance processes.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure understanding and adherence to prevailing wage requirements
- Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and maintaining organized payroll records
Authorization or ability to acquire authorization to work in the United States is a must.
