A Snapshot of your day

Your day involves ensuring safe and high-quality outage execution through planning, scheduling, delay management, parts coordination, customer meetings, daily progress reporting, and comprehensive documentation. You will also tackle complex technical challenges beyond standard procedures, applying expert-level skills, critical thinking, and leadership to manage high-impact, cross-functional issues.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Maintain effective communication with the Site Lead, Service Engineering, and customer representatives to ensure project activities meet Siemens Energy Quality and EHS standards.
  • Travel domestically and internationally to perform maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on large steam/gas turbines, generators, and associated equipment.
  • Supervise mechanical maintenance teams (1-30 personnel) during turbine/generator disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly, while managing subcontractors.
  • Lead site safety programs, conduct detailed site surveys, and develop outage and maintenance plans, ensuring compliance with EHS guidelines.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, review complex task plans and schematics, and provide mentorship and guidance during execution.
  • Ensure cost-effective project execution by managing budgets, schedules, resources, and supporting planning teams, while addressing delays and supporting claim management.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 3–5 years of experience, preferably in rotating equipment (turbines, generators, pumps, motors, etc.).
  • Extensive experience in power plant systems, including preventive/corrective maintenance, mechanical commissioning, and auxiliary systems.
  • Strong background in machining, fabrication, welding, and NDT processes, with familiarity in SAP.
  • Proven expertise in mechanical assembly/disassembly of large turbines, generators, and related auxiliaries.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and customer relationship skills, with a willingness to travel extensively (200–250 days/year) and work internationally.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
