A Snapshot of Your Day

Join us as a High Voltage Substation Engineer and take the lead in developing basic engineering and Bill of Quantities for the tender phase. You will analyze customer technical specifications, including Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), layouts, cable routing, and earthing. Your engineering expertise will be pivotal in crafting compelling offers for turnkey substation projects. Collaborating closely with the tender manager, you will ensure that designs are competitive and meet customer requirements for grid connections.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• You will review and validate electrical drawings (SLDs, layout, cable routing, earthing, etc.) submitted by customers to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• You will support the Tender Managers in preparing competitive offers that align with customer specifications.
• You will evaluate and verify protection schemes and MV/HV equipment to ensure they meet project standards.
• You will participate in technical meetings with suppliers and contractors to confirm adherence to project requirements.
• You will review and comment on specifications for HV/MV/LV equipment, ensuring they align with project standards and regulations.
• You will support internal teams during tender evaluation, equipment selection, and contract negotiations from a technical perspective, ensuring optimal outcomes.

What You Bring

• You hold an Electrical Engineering degree.
• You are proficient in English and Spanish, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
• You possess skills in Energy, Power Systems, Power Transmission, Project Portfolio Management, Account Management, Substation, Contract Management, Renewable Energy, and Smart Grid.
• You have 5 years of previous experience with other Electrical Infrastructure EPC companies.
• You have advanced computer software skills, including AutoCAD, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• You have a strong understanding of electrical design principles, HV/MV systems, and grid integration of renewable assets.
• You are familiar with relevant international and national standards (IEC, IEEE).
• You can interpret and comment on technical drawings and protection schemes effectively.
• You can read and verify cable sizing, earthing layouts, and equipment schedules with precision.
