As a Electrical Engineer for Electrolysis at Siemens Energy, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our electrolysis technology. This is an outstanding opportunity to be part of a team that is revolutionizing energy solutions. You will lead all aspects of Commissiong, Servicing, Factfinding and Trouble shooting. You will be involved in a variety of tasks that ensure our systems operate flawlessly, contributing to a balanced future. How You’ll Make an Impact


  • Compliance with safety standards
  • Supervision and execution of all commissioning and/or service work within the given scope of work (rectifier, transformer, circuit breaker, power factor correction systems/mains filters)
  • Conducting and supervising service/inspection work as well as commissioning new plants on the DC power supply with the associated systems of electrolysis plants
  • Processing and verifying the associated documentation
  • Leading and instructing subcontractors on construction sites
  • Preparing detailed construction site reports
  • Reporting discrepancies and non-conformities to propose project-specific solutions and ensure feedback of information and experience
  • Performing electrical measurements


What You Bring


  • Vocational degree/ Chamber of Crafts Degree/ Certified technician/ Master craftsman's diploma/ Mechatronics technician/ Electrical technician/ College/university degree in electrical engineering (Bachelor, Master Diploma)
  • Willingness to travel 100% of the time, typically on site for 200 days per year (worldwide projects).
  • Basic knowledge of PCS 7 automation system (nice to have)
  • Basic knowledge of the ‘Starter’ software => programming / developer environment on the rectifier (will be advantageous)
  • Basic knowledge of the ‘TIA Portal’ software (will be advantageous)
  • Basic knowledge of electrical engineering standards and norms and power electronics
  • Language skills: English - min. Level B1
  • Strong communication skills, team cohesion, and coordination abilities
  • Field service experience in the field of transformers/rectifiers (desirable, but not required)
  • Basic understanding of control systems and the use of various control systems
  • Experience with electrical measurements

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
