A Snapshot of Your Day
As the Head of Customs Operation Team, you are responsible for managing the Customs Operation Team within Siemens Energy in China mainland. You ensure that the necessary Customs processes are implemented and adhered to. 

Your responsibilities include working closely with our various departments and partners such as procurement, production, order management, logistics and respective customs agents. To automate and ensure effective operations and processes, you should be open to new processes and strive to implement them.

How You’ll Make an Impact
• Develops plans and solutions to ensure Customs compliance and Process optimization in China mainland. 
• You will work together with the sub-regional Customs team to identify and analyze local and global customs related risks in business and processes and support implementation of appropriate mitigation measures, and
• Contribute to the implementation of Customs regulations and 
• Monitor, control and ensures corrective actions derived from external and internal reviews and Customs audits.
• Responsible for Broker Management and the implementation of standard operating procedures
• Deeply involved in daily Imp/Exp activities, work closely with relevant dep. For duties/exemption/reduction feasibility with Customs. As well as management on bonded implementation.
• Communicate with local customs officers

What You Bring 
• Bachelor’s degree required (international business, supply chain, law, or related field). 
• Proven experience in Customs, with a background in managing operational units within a matrix organization.
• Strong knowledge of China Imp/Exp and Customs laws and regulations as well as in trade compliance areas.
• Familiarity with all the customs operation process. Preferred: experience in customs operation leadership.
• Customer focused with a commitment to quality
• Team management experience is required
• Possess strong teamwork, decisiveness, assertiveness, and a structured, analytical working style, along with excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience in different areas of foreign trade, such as authorities, consulting companies, corporations, and associations, rounds off your profile
• Strong networking abilities and willingness to travel up to 15% of the time.
