Snapshot Of Your Day:

As the Commercial Sales/Project Manager (CPM), your responsibility will be a dual role in our Raleigh, NC office! RELOCATION WILL BE PROVIDED! In the Commercial Sales function, you will be supporting the Proposal team in preparation and submission of customer offers and bids by taking the lead with long-term commercial and contractual projects. In your Commercial Project Manager’s role, you will be responsible for the progress and financial health of the projects you support, together with your Technical Project Manager. In both capacities, you will be responsible for a small team of CPMs, engaging and coordinating with several other teams, including procurement, finance, logistics, tax and accounting. Various processes and guidelines will be applied, using different digital platforms, and ensuring compliance with applicable internal and external regulations.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Commercial Sales:

  • Responsible for all commercial activities in budgetary and firm offers in close collaboration with Bidding and Sales team.
  • Commercial support of tender activities, leading commercial aspects of tender preparation up to bid submission and post bid follow up.
  • Defining the appropriate business model considering internal and external regulations and bid strategy.
  • Participating in customer negotiations on Terms and Conditions and taking ownership of commercial part.

Commercial Execution:

  • Financial execution of projects including creating sale orders and setting up project in SAP, revenue recognition, invoicing and payment terms, maintenance of project costs, securities, taxes, and insurance requirements
  • Project Controlling, Forecasting and Reporting of financial status for portfolio of dedicated projects.
  • Ensures the accuracy of project books and records and their compliance with financial guidelines.
  • Partner with Technical Project Manager in project steering /contract negotiations, accounting, development of strategies or solutions.

What You Bring

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a finance related discipline is Required; Finance, Economics, Business or Accounting preferred; CPA, MBA or MS a plus. 
  • PMI or CPM certification is a plus.
  • Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience as a Commercial Sales/CPM or in a Project Finance role.
  • Thorough understanding of GAAP and IFRS, strong skills in PC applications, primarily SAP, Microsoft Office, as well as strong analytical skills
  • Work independently, capable at multitasking and meeting deadlines; great team player and open to learn.
  • All candidates must be authorized or able to obtain authorization to work in the United States.
