A Snapshot of Your Day

A day in the life of a Cloud & Infrastructure Architect involves ensuring the stability, performance, and cost-efficiency of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. You’ll collaborate with teams to resolve technical issues, optimize systems, and maintain compliance with corporate standards. The role blends hands-on troubleshooting with strategic planning to deliver secure and scalable cloud solutions.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Maintain and ensure the smooth operation of the cloud and infrastructure environment.
  • Work with DBA team to set priorities and manage team activities.
  • Provide financial reports (e.g., infrastructure-related costs) to management.
  • Manage and optimize Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) costs and performance.
  • Assist internal customers with software operations, troubleshooting, and education.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate standard (design risk treatment plans, disaster recovery plans, protection concepts)

What You Bring

Required Technical Skills :

  • Solid understanding of infrastructure elements: Cloud computing (GCP and OCI preferred)/ Networking, Compute, Storage / Linux operation and administration (install services, troubleshoot issues).
  • Hands-on development experience (any major language) and ability to leverage OCI APIs.
  • Good understanding of Oracle database technology.
  • Cyber security for Oracle OCI (including IAM).
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills that cover infrastructures and integrations beyond OCI (e.g. troubleshoot integrations satellite/adjacent systems like GCP, Snaplogic, SAP etc.)

Strategic Skills:

  • General knowledge of software engineering and architecture.
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience with software development (OOP, functional programming).
  • Awareness of software qualities (concepts like reliability, scalability, configurability, availability etc. and KPIs like RTO, RPO etc..).
  • Ability to adopt and adapt to corporate processes and policies.

Education & Certifications:

  •  Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Certifications in the above areas are a significant plus.

Non-Technical Skills

  • Self-sufficiency and ability to work with minimal guidance.
  • Availability to work/accommodate US time zone.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal customers
