A Snapshot of Your Day

As an Operational Buyer, you will be responsible for efficiently implementing operational purchasing processes. You will purchase goods, materials, and services to ensure that operational needs are met (considering price, quality, on-time delivery) as well as continuity of supply. You will process incoming customer requests (workflow transactions, purchase requisitions, email requests, etc.), ensuring agreed cycle time and quality standards while maintaining high customer/user satisfaction.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Process purchase requests by creating and releasing purchase orders to suppliers
  • Manage purchase orders, including tracking/expediting to ensure a cost-efficient supply of materials in accordance with demand
  • Ensure items are delivered on time and expedite where necessary
  • Communicate with suppliers concerning order-related items, such as delivery dates, and escalate risks to relevant stakeholders
  • Monitor supplier delivery and quality performance. Escalate findings to relevant stakeholders and address performance issues with suppliers as necessary
  • Maintain and update supplier master data to ensure that the database is accurate and up to date
  • May negotiate prices and payment terms (low-threshold transactions)
  • Demonstrate strong customer focus by handling requests in a timely manner with high-quality standards
  • Communicate efficiently and professionally with internal and external stakeholders
  • Actively seek process optimization and improvement opportunities in relevant areas

What You Bring
  • Proven experience in procurement, engineering, and/or operations, manufacturing functions
  • Good experience with SAP and MS Office
  • Very good English and basic German skills
  • University degree preferably in fields such as business administration, finance, supply chain, technical, economics or any other related field
  • Excellent communication skills and adaptability, good time management and organizational skills
  • Availability to work from our Bucharest office 3 days per week, with 2 days remote
