O roli
A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Blade Test Engineer, you’ll be hands‑on in our blade testing facilities, preparing and executing structural tests on full‑scale wind turbine blades. Your day will balance practical engineering tasks, data analysis and close collaboration with design and materials teams. Working with advanced instrumentation, sensors and data acquisition systems, you help ensure that every blade design meets the high standards required for safety, performance and long‑term reliability.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Plan and execute structural blade tests, from instrumentation and setup to running static and fatigue tests safely and accurately
- Operate and monitor data acquisition systems and measurement equipment to ensure high‑quality, reliable data
- Analyze and interpret test results, turning large datasets into meaningful engineering insights
- Develop clear, well‑structured technical reports supporting design validation and project decision‑making
- Calibrate, maintain and troubleshoot test equipment to secure consistent system performance
- Contribute to improved testing methods, tools and processes that strengthen our blade testing capability
What You Bring
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Structural or Aerospace Engineering (or related field), giving you a solid foundation in mechanics, materials behaviour and engineering principles
- 2–5 years of hands‑on experience within structural testing, materials testing or R&D, ideally in a laboratory or industrial test environment where you’ve worked closely with large‑scale setups or complex test rigs
- Practical expertise with data acquisition systems, sensors and instrumentation, and the ability to set up, configure and operate equipment with confidence and precision
- Strong analytical capabilities that enable you to interpret engineering data, solve technical challenges independently and approach complex test scenarios with structure and clarity
- High attention to detail and a strong focus on safety, including comfort working around large test structures and adherence to procedures when performing hands‑on tasks
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset, allowing you to work seamlessly with engineers, technicians and cross‑functional teams while presenting findings clearly and professionally
About the Team
You will join a dedicated Blade Testing team responsible for validating the structural performance and durability of Siemens Gamesa’s wind turbine blades.
