A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Bid Manager, Grid Analysis and Planning, you’ll be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the preparation of technical and commercial proposals, ensuring they meet client specifications and regulatory compliance related to grid analysis and planning studies. You will manage the preparation of tenders for the Grid Analysis and Planning team, including pre-qualification documentation and post tender submissions up to the point of order placement.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including consulting, engineering, finance, and legal departments, to align project objectives and strategies.
- Administering Business Quotation Systems such as Salesforce and SAP.
- Understanding and interpreting customers’ requirements, and implementing specific tender strategies for the Market Application team.
- Instigating the preparation and issue of sub-contract inquiries, expediting quotations, and preparing comprehensive proposal documents describing technical, commercial and financial aspects of the Company offer.
- Supporting Sales & Bid teams in post tender follow-up activity, including coordinating and preparing customer questionnaire responses, providing clarification documentation for negotiation, and calculating project price and any associated price segregation.
- Prepare price authorization forms, acquiring vital approvals, and assisting in the preparation of project risk analysis.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- 5 or more years of experience within the power systems or energy sector. *Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa.
- Understanding of sales and negotiation margins and project profitability strategies
- Experience writing and coordinating technical proposals and bids for power system projects.
- Prior experience with power system studies, knowledge of power system modeling software, and familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in power systems engineering.
- Flexibility to travel as needed, up to 20%
