A Snapshot of Your Day


As an Automation Engineer for Electrolysis at Siemens Energy, you will embark on an ambitious journey where every single day brings new challenges and opportunities. You will work on commissioning, maintaining, and troubleshooting automation components such as DCS, sensors, actuators, and industrial networks. Your work will have a world-class impact on optimizing processes at electrolysis plants, contributing to Siemens Energy’s mission of balanced energy. How You’ll Make an Impact


  • Ensure strict compliance with safety standards throughout all operations.
  • Handle and implement commissioning and service work within the specified scope.
  • Conduct and supervise service and inspection work on electrolysis plants and auxiliary systems.
  • Process and verify associated documentation to maintain high standards of quality.
  • Lead and instruct subcontractors on construction sites to ensure successful project execution.
  • Prepare comprehensive construction site reports to provide clarity and updates.
  • Identify and report discrepancies, proposing project-specific solutions to improve efficiency.


What You Bring


  • A degree (vocational degree, certified technician diploma) or equivalent experience in electrical, mechanical, or automation engineering, or related technical fields with focus on industrial electronics.
  • Willingness to travel 100% of the time, typically on site for 200 days per year (worldwide projects)
  • Basic knowledge of the PCS 7 automation system is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of standards and norms for industrial plants.
  • Proficiency in English at a minimum B1 level.
  • Outstanding communication skills, team cohesion, and coordination abilities.
  • Basic knowledge of industrial networks, Windows Server administration, and industrial communication protocols.
  • Familiarity with automation system concepts and functional safety.
  • Basic knowledge of virtualization in a client/server environment.
  • Enthusiasm for entering the electrolysis field, especially for new systems.


About the Team


Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
