A Snapshot of Your Day
You will be responsible for installing, performing start-up tests, commissioning, and maintaining high-voltage substations with Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS) technology across the Americas, working directly on-site. This includes planning and executing installation activities, ensuring compliance with technical standards, coordinating with subcontractors, and managing testing equipment. You will also prepare detailed technical and administrative reports, guarantee adherence to EHS and quality protocols, and act as the primary point of contact for all commissioning activities to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality results.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Execute electrical and/or mechanical plans for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of high-voltage substations.
- Supervise subcontracted personnel to ensure assembly according to project drawings and specifications.
- Guarantee the quality of assembly and commissioning in compliance with factory standards.
- Prepare weekly technical and administrative progress reports.
- Deliver comprehensive service completion reports ensuring accuracy and traceability.
- Manage and ensure proper use and availability of assembly and testing equipment throughout the project.
What You Bring
- Strong leadership, responsibility, active listening, tolerance, and willingness to travel.
- Solid electrical knowledge and understanding of safety principles in electrical environments.
- Familiarity with international standards such as IEC and IEEE applicable to high-voltage substations.
- Hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical testing equipment.
- Ability to interpret and execute electrical and mechanical drawings accurately.
- Commitment to EHS protocols, quality policies, and compliance with integrated management system guidelines.

Our Service & Commissioning (SV) department provides preventive and corrective services for high-voltage electrical substations, including AIS and GIS technologies and high-power transformers. We are responsible for installation, start-up testing, commissioning, and comprehensive maintenance of substations, ensuring compliance with international standards and safety protocols while delivering efficient and high-quality results directly on-site.
