A Snapshot of Your Day

You are regularly on the ground, moving from site to site across the region to support project teams during critical execution phases. As a trusted on‑site advisor, you work closely with project managers, site managers, site supervisors, and contractors to strengthen execution quality, safety, and discipline.

You observe site setups and daily operations, identify execution risks and deviations early, and provide hands‑on guidance to improve performance. Drawing on best practices from across the region and global standards, you help teams resolve issues pragmatically, stabilize challenging situations, and prevent recurrence. Where required, you escalate critical risks and systemic issues through established governance channels.

Your role is not to manage projects, but to enable successful execution by strengthening site management capability, contractor performance, and compliance with EHS and quality standards across Grid Solutions projects in Asia Pacific & China.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Provide on‑site advisory support to project and site teams during project execution, with a focus on civil works, electrical installation, site supervision, and operational site management.
  • Coach site managers and supervisors on best practices in site organization, planning, contractor coordination, progress tracking, and issue resolution.
  • Support project teams in assessing and improving contractor performance, including productivity, workmanship quality, and compliance with contractual and technical requirements.
  • Support tender teams in optimizing bids to gain competitiveness in the market
  • Act as a troubleshooter on site, helping to analyze execution challenges and implement practical corrective measures in collaboration with project teams.
  • Reinforce and promote EHS excellence, identifying unsafe practices, behavioral risks, and systemic gaps, and supporting implementation of preventive and corrective actions.
  • Support quality management on site, including workmanship quality, inspection readiness, documentation discipline, and compliance with QM standards.
  • Identify recurring execution issues and feed structured lessons learned and best practices back to the regional PMO and governance organization.
  • Act as an early‑warning mechanism, escalating critical execution, safety, or quality risks through defined regional governance channels when required.
  • Support the implementation of global and regional project execution initiatives, standards, and tools at site level.
  • Serve as a trusted sparring partner for project managers and site leadership, strengthening execution maturity without replacing line responsibility.

What You Bring

  • Several years of hands‑on experience in site execution and site management for energy, infrastructure, or EPC/turnkey projects (substations, grid solutions, or comparable environments preferred).
  • Strong practical understanding of civil works and electrical installation activities on complex construction sites.
  • Strong knowledge of the offer management process and ability to transfer execution knowledge to support tender teams in cost and time estimations and supplier selections
  • Solid knowledge of EHS and Quality Management principles in site execution environments, with the ability to translate standards into daily practice.
  • Proven ability to advise, coach, and influence site teams and contractors without direct line authority.
  • Pragmatic, solution‑oriented mindset with the credibility to be accepted on site by supervisors, contractors, and project managers.
  • Ability to identify risks early, communicate clearly, and escalate constructively where necessary.
  • Experience working across Asia Pacific & China, with awareness of regional regulatory, cultural, and contractor‑market differences.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the region and work directly on active construction sites.
  • Fluency in English; additional regional languages are an advantage.

Positioning & Clarification

  • This role does not carry end‑to‑end project responsibility and does not replace the Project Manager or Site Manager.
  • The role operates as part of the regional Project Governance & PMO organization, under the Head of Project Governance & PMO.
  • Success is measured by improved site execution quality, safer sites, stronger contractor performance, and reduced escalation of execution issues.
