As QEHS Manager for the High Voltage Installation and Maintenance Department, you will be responsible for supervising and implementing health, safety and environmental (EHS) standards on worksites in Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, as well as monitoring the methods and quality standards defined within the GT SV OPE-BE department.

You will also be responsible for managing the team's tooling, the quality of work carried out and procedures for the sites and service technicians.

As part of service activities (maintenance and/or installation), you will be involved in drawing up project-specific task descriptions (Risk Assessment & Method Statement) and detailed Safety Plans based on customer specifications and factory standards.

In partnership with the central QHSE departments and management, you will ensure that the Integrated Management System complies with ISO 9001, 14001 and VCA standards.

You will act as group coordinator within the Western Europe sub-region (France-Belgium-Switzerland-Holland) and act as an interface between management and the various QEHS managers in the countries in the sub-region.

  • Being responsible for the quality of execution of activities on worksites and ensuring that they are carried out in accordance with established standards and procedures.
  • Prepare and revise Method Statements and Safety Plans for site and maintenance activities.
  • Training and raising staff awareness of health, safety and environmental issues.
  • Report incidents, accidents and non-conformities, and implement appropriate corrective measures.
  • Meet with customers as part of satisfaction surveys or in the event of major QEHS problems.
  • Suggest improvements/modifications to the business process, avoiding any deterioration in efficiency.

What you need to bring

  • University degree with a major in QEHS or project management.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the energy sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations and industry standards.
  • Proven skills in managing tooling and overseeing workmanship.
  • Excellent communication and training skills.

This QEHS Manager position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced health, safety and environment professional, primarily looking to play a key role in implementing safety standards and quality development within a local team, while positioning yourself within the international group by coordinating QHSE players in other countries in the sub-region.
