A Snapshot of Your Day
This is a temporary role to cover a leave and ensure operational continuity within the EHS, Quality and Security function for the Switchgears business. The primary objective is to maintain and improve quality assurance standards, process compliance, and drive improvement initiatives during this period. To meet this objective, the role is structured around three core areas: Quality Assurance & Compliance Management, Continuous Process Improvement & Analysis, and Project Management. This focus ensures that existing quality systems are maintained, complex issues are resolved, and strategic improvement projects continue with minimal disruption. Given the focus on these areas, the ideal candidate will be a Specialist Professional (P4) with subject matter expertise in quality management, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering context. They must possess advanced skills in process auditing, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies like Lean Six Sigma, supported by significant professional experience.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- 60% Quality Assurance & Compliance Management:
- Manage and conduct internal and external quality audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9000 series and other relevant regulatory standards.
- Develop, establish, and maintain quantitative measurements and techniques for monitoring process and product quality.
- Oversee the documentation of inspection records and process deviations, ensuring all non-conformities are addressed through the change control process.
- Act as the subject matter expert for the organization's Quality Management System (QMS), providing guidance and training to other team members.
- 20% Continuous Process Improvement & Analysis:
- Lead complex process improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma or similar methodologies to enhance productivity and reduce defects.
- Perform in-depth root cause analysis for difficult quality issues and develop robust corrective and preventive action plans.
- Utilize data analysis to identify trends, measure the impact of quality initiatives, and report on performance metrics to stakeholders.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement by coaching junior professionals and promoting quality initiatives across the business.
- 20% Project & Workflow Management:
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of large-scale quality improvement projects with limited managerial oversight.
- Define and manage workflow processes for quality-related activities, ensuring efficient execution and clear accountability.
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports on quality performance, audit findings, and project status to senior management.
What You Bring
- Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
- Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Significant professional experience (typically 8+ years) in a quality assurance or process improvement role, preferably within a manufacturing or technology environment.
- Proven experience as a subject matter expert managing complex projects and processes with limited oversight.
