A Snapshot of Your Day

Working in collaboration with colleagues from HR and IT, as well as other areas such as Procurement or Finance, you will be supporting the transformation on how global Travel and Expense is delivered in Siemens Energy over the next years.

You will actively support definition of global principles, strategy, and standards for travel and expenses (T&E) system landscape, as well as be the expert for our current blueprint T&E application Concur. The role holder will partner with the development team & Process Owners to align the development efforts with the overall vision, goals, and priorities of Travel & Expenses.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation, configuration, and optimization of global Travel & Expense system and its integration within the organization. You will be expected to support the delivery of high-quality T&E E2E solutions which are aligned with business needs by working closely with Process Owners, People Tech Members and Tech specialists, as well as external vendors. The role holder will support gathering of requirements and management of the product backlog and will work closely with stakeholders to successfully deliver T&E related projects which comply with the standards set by the platform team. 
  • Supporting, in collaboration with colleagues from HR and Procurement, a definition of global principles, strategy, and standards for T&E
  • Being an important element in definition of T&E roadmap with focus on SAP Concur system
  • Acting as an effective advisor for the definition of the future global processes for Travel & Expenses in Siemens Energy from system perspective
  • Coordinating SAP Concur implementations in an already mature Concur deployed landscape, as well as associated T&E business processes i.e. corporate card administration
  • Collaborating with the outsourced Concur application management and business process provider, manage data feeds from Concur system to downstream / upstream applications, such as Payroll Systems, Workday and our global reporting landscape
  • Searching for opportunities for improvement (i.e. processes) to ensure global standard and efficient operational delivery as well as system landscape consolidation
  • Analysing business problems associated with T&E and provide solutions that fit within the framework and capabilities of the product. 
  • Providing support in coordinating the product release schedule in collaboration with the development team and stakeholders. 
  • Applying E2E knowledge of SAP Concur to identify and explore new features, opportunities, and to propose continuous improvement measures. 
  • Being updated of latest trends and leading practices in the market. 
  • Focusing on building a culture of continuous product excellence and improvement. 
  • Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the future of our HR IT operations by adhering to the highest standards of demand management and operational efficiency.

What You Bring

  • Ability to thrive in a global environment, working flexibly where required
  • 3-5 year experience with SAP Concur modules and functionality in a global organization (across many countries)
  • Experience with T&E associated business processes i.e. expense audit, corporate card administration etc.
  • Fluency in English is crucial, enabling clear and effective communication with global teams and customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey sophisticated information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
  • Self-directed with an ability to organize, plan, prioritize
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and adapt to changing priorities and demands with ease.
  • Strong strategic thinking capabilities to develop long-term plans and initiatives that drive demand management and solutioning success.
  • Ability to balance technical considerations with business and user needs.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities to define clear user stories and prioritise backlog items effectively. 
  • A forward-thinking approach with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement, always seeking new ways to enhance processes and deliver value.
  • Strong data management skills and experience to support business needs/ understanding
  • Knowledge on integration with HCM and Finance upstream / downstream systems preferred
