A Snapshot of Your Day
Join our dynamic team in Vienna, Austria, as a Piping Engineer (m/f/d) for Energy Projects. You will evaluate and comment on internal and client contracts, project schedules, and actively coordinate interfaces among internal fields, external suppliers, clients, and consultants. Your expertise will guide the piping planning process, including generating and judging routing concepts, organizing design reviews, and reviewing isometrics and layouts. You will also determine and specify piping technology for various mediums, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards while preparing comprehensive bid proposals and quotation documentation (RFQs).
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Develop and review bills of quantities (BoQs), aligning and ensuring compliance with customer specifications and international standards such as DIN, EN, EIGA, ASME, and ANSI
- Evaluate and comment on internal and client contracts/specifications and project-related schedules
- Participate in technical contract negotiations
- Coordinate interfaces and gather/distribute required parameters among internal teams, external suppliers, consultants and clients
- Monitor and coordinate piping planning in concern of quality and progress. This involves:
- Generating routing concepts
- Organizing design reviews
- Reviewing isometrics, pipe support drawings and layouts
- Project time schedule
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Several years of professional experience in piping construction for power or industrial plants and familiarity with ASME, ANSI, EIGA, DIN, EN standards, and regulations, including PED
- Knowledge in piping, valves, insulation, electrical trace heating, and plant layout
- Experience in project execution, project management, and piping proposal calculations is a plus
- Basic understanding of 3d plant design software (NAVISWORKS, PDMS, E3d) and Pipe statics (longitudinal stress analysis)
- Fluent in German and English, with strong communication skills and a willingness to travel internationally (Driving License necessary)

Due to the Austrian legal regulations, we are obliged to state the minimum salary for this position. Please note that there is a clear willingness for a higher compensation considering your individual expectations, expertise and skills. The minimum salary for this position in the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry is in the amount of 52.853,78 € gross/year for a full-time position (38,5 h/week).
