A Snapshot of Your Day 

As an Industrial Cybersecurity Innovation Specialist you will assist on a broad spectrum of cybersecurity support requests from digital communities in various Siemens Energy business units and functions, such as Information Technology and Enterprise Data & Advanced Analytics helping move cybersecurity activities forward. You will also participate in developing internal cybersecurity capabilities and strategy, engaging pro-actively to strengthen the organization’s overall cybersecurity posture and cultivate external strategic cybersecurity partnerships.

How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Orchestrate and practically implement proof-of-concepts and R&D projects for security technologies in the industrial domain
  • Conduct market research and analyze trends to identify innovation opportunities
  • Scout for new technologies and startups that align with the cybersecurity portfolio & innovation objectives
  • Support in developing our industrial cybersecurity ecosystem strategy and participate in ecosystem activities such as workshops, conferences and networking events
  • Identify and secure funding opportunities for innovation projects
  • Build and monitor an industrial cybersecurity portfolio & innovation community
What You Bring
  • Master’s degree in Digitalization, Industrial Automation, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or related qualification
  • 1-3 years of experience in cybersecurity, digital innovation management, or related fields
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to conduct market research and trend analysis; familiarity with funding opportunities and proposal writing
  • Excellent communication and social skills; experience in driving and handling innovation projects
  • Familiarity with the latest industry benchmarks and standard methodologies in ecosystem management; knowledge about industrial control system components and industrial protocols is a plus
  • Knowledge of security standards and frameworks such as IEC 62443, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, or MITRE ATT&CK for ICS is a plus; willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 15% of the time
