Head of Grid Technologies Service Europe & Africa

A Snapshot of Your Day

In this highly visible and dynamic role, you will lead the activities of the Grid Technology Service (GT SV) in Europe & Africa. Together with your team, your responsibilities include developing and implementing the Grid Technologies Service strategy while driving continuous improvements in operations, considering a full P&L business responsibility for our region Europe and Africa.

Additionally, you will build on collaboration with other Execution Units and Functions, actively contribute to growth strategy and make Grid Technologies Service a value creator for the Business Area, adding strong value to customers and driving long term relationships. As a key member of the Grid Technologies Service global management team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our overarching vision and strategic goals.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the Grid Technologies Service strategy and action plan to drive business growth and profitability across Europe and Africa, adapting to the unique conditions of each country in the region.
• Portfolio Management & Customer focus: Apply relevant portfolio elements with a clear value proposition, aligning them with customer needs and market trends, and integrating them into a proactive sales approach.
• Organizational Effectiveness: Lead the Grid Technologies Service Europe & Africa organization to achieve planned financial performance through effective collaboration with other units and functions, improving performance and efficiency, while contributing to the company's value creation goals.
• Team Development: Promote a culture of continuous learning and cultivate a diverse and competent team of multicultural leaders, fostering collaboration across (sub)regions and hubs to ensure performance and people development.
• Safety & Integrity: Uphold the highest standards of safety and business integrity by actively supporting the Zero Harm program and promoting a strong compliance culture.
• Global Strategy Support: Contribute to the global strategy of Grid Technologies and Grid Technologies Service, playing an active role in change management, leadership and collaboration

What You Bring

• Education in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field. An MBA is highly valued.
• At least 10 years of experience in business management, project management, consulting, finance, marketing, or sales, including essential experience in leading multicultural teams with Profit & Loss (P&L) management.
• Knowledge and experience of the energy industry, especially connected to grid technologies and service operations is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with international teams, effectively managing multiple interfaces and fostering collaboration across regions to build networks and develop talent.
• Proactively embraces new ways, shows dedication to change and teamwork, takes ownership of complex challenges, and prioritizes safety with a zero tolerance approach.
• Proven track record of engaging and communicating effectively with different partners, employing cultural awareness and interpersonal skills to cultivate strong relationships and facilitate collaborative triumph.
