The Head of New Unit Sales – Asia Pacific for Compression will lead the regional sales team, focusing on achieving short- and mid-term sales targets. This role drives strategic growth in offshore, onshore, and industrial segments, with emphasis on the FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) market. As the internal go-to expert for Compression (CP) in the region, the incumbent supports escalations through customer lifecycle. The position involves engaging at EVP/SVP and high-mid management levels to build impactful relationships and drive business outcomes, while collaborating with peer organizations in Transformation of Industries and Gas Services to leverage synergies and ensure customer satisfaction.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Develop and implement regional sales strategies aligned with global business objectives.
- Drive and manage achievement of short- and mid-term sales targets across the Asia Pacific region.
- Ensure pipeline quality and optimize sales funnel for high conversion rates.
- Oversee order entry processes to maximize profitability and operational efficiency.
- Lead and mentor the Asia Pacific sales team, fostering performance excellence and accountability.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships across Southeast Asia, South Asia, East Asia, and Australasia.
- Engage with EVP/SVP and high-mid level executives to cultivate strategic partnerships and long-term growth.
- Act as the internal Compression (CP) expert in the region, coordinating with Execution and Service teams for seamless operations.
- Collaborate with TI and GS peer organizations to enhance customer offerings and operational efficiency.
- Manage key accounts, focusing on FPSO operators, EPCs, and energy majors.
- Monitor regional market trends, regulatory environments, and competitive landscape.
- Oversee bid management and proposal development to deliver competitive offers.
- Provide regular performance updates and strategic insights to senior management.
- Support growth of the Decarb business in Asia Pacific, aligning with global sustainability goals.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Sales, Bid Management, or Project Management, preferably in Compression or the energy sector.
- Bid Management experience would be an added advantage.
- Proven experience with FPSO customers and understanding of offshore market dynamics.
- Demonstrated ability to engage EVP/SVP and high-mid level executives, with strong executive presence and strategic influence.
- Track record of success across multiple Asian geographies, with cultural fluency and adaptability.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Analytical mindset with robust problem-solving capabilities.
- Preferred familiarity with bid management processes and proposal development.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, complex, multicultural environments.
- Knowledge of Decarb initiatives and energy transition trends is a plus.
