A Snapshot of Your Day 

As an HVDC / FACTS Coordinator for Global Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating global engineering activities across High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) and Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS) projects and service programs. In this role, you will serve as the key interface between engineering teams, project management, service organizations, customers, and regional execution centers, ensuring technical consistency, effective resource alignment, and operational excellence throughout the global engineering network.

This position requires extensive technical expertise in power transmission and control systems, combined with strong coordination, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities. You will be responsible for fostering collaboration across international teams, driving alignment among diverse stakeholders, and supporting the successful execution of projects and service initiatives on a global scale.

How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Coordination and alignment of global engineering activities across international HVDC and FACTS projects, service programs, upgrades, and modernization initiatives
  • Leadership of cross-regional collaboration between engineering teams in Europe, Asia, and the Americas, ensuring effective resource planning, workload balancing, and stakeholder alignment
  • Governance of engineering standards and technical excellence, including compliance with quality processes, cybersecurity requirements, methodologies, and best practices
  • Coordination of control and protection engineering solutions, technical reviews, troubleshooting activities, root cause analyses, and knowledge-sharing initiatives across the global organization
  • Engineering interface management between customers, suppliers, project management, service organizations, and internal stakeholders throughout all project lifecycle phases
  • Driving continuous improvement and digitalization, including process standardization, implementation of innovative engineering tools, development of guidelines and training programs, and promotion of operational excellence and customer focus
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Several years of professional experience in HVDC, FACTS, power transmission, substation automation, or control and protection engineering
  • Experience in international and multidisciplinary engineering environments, including coordination of engineering activities across multiple stakeholders, functions, and geographic locations
  • In-depth knowledge of HVDC and FACTS technologies, including STATCOM, SVC, FSC, HVDC Classic, and HVDC Plus systems
  • Expertise in control and protection systems and communication technologies, including Simatic TDC, Beckhoff, Digital Fault Recorder, SIPROTEC, IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-101/104, PROFIBUS, DNP3, and Modbus
  • Strong understanding of industrial networks, cybersecurity concepts, and engineering tools, including MATLAB/Simulink and industrial automation platforms
