You dive into drafting specification documents, validation requests, or supplier calculations, ensuring precision and innovation. Finally, you update internal design rules, integrating the latest learnings from diverse projects and stakeholders, making a tangible impact on our mission for sustainable energy.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead complete gearbox design solutions from concept through prototype and pre-serial production, serving as the main contact for external development partners.
  • Develop and validate technical gearbox solutions for medium and high-speed systems, optimizing torque density and generator speed ratios for wind turbine projects.
  • Perform analytical calculations and dimensioning for gears, shafts, bearings, and lubrication systems, ensuring alignment with structural and cooling teams.
  • Explore innovative mechanical geared concepts and deliver complex gearbox designs.
  • Prepare requirement specifications and interface control documents for critical components, coordinating with purchasing and testing requirements.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar Industrial Engineering.
  • At least 10 years of experience in product development and mechanical design.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with IEC 61400-4 wind turbine gearbox design requirements and GPS Geometrical Product Specification.
  • Proficiency with NX Siemens PLM & Teamcenter Siemens PLM.
  • Self-initiative, proactive problem solver who works independently and in teams.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written.

Join our Drivetrain team, where innovation meets collaboration. We are dedicated to developing new turbine solutions from scratch to pre-serial production. Our team works closely with key customers and internal stakeholders, including manufacturing, field installation, and service teams. We ensure that prototypes are manufacturable, installable in prototype turbines, and testable for over a year, adhering to Design FMEA standards. Together, we drive the future of sustainable energy.
