About the role

The role is to ensure the highest standards of Health and Safety and Quality at sites during the execution of a project, furthermore you will assume the personnel, technical and partly contractual responsibilities to projects within the middle east and potentially worldwide.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Evaluation or preparation of assembly efforts (time, personnel, tool and part requirements)
  • Support with assembly documentation.
  • Preparation and / or revision of risk assessments and method statements
  • Clarification of the scope of services at the start of the project, the contract constellation and the
  • schedule
  • Support in project planning, technical clarification of the scope of services, creation and / or updating
  • of the schedule, determination of the required resources
  • Control of the final scope of services, scheduling, orders for personnel, tools, infrastructure,
  • subcontractors, preparations on site (e.g. construction site equipment, residential concept, driving
  • concept), project instruction, crisis plan, HSE plan (incl. risk assessment, method statement), quality plan, technical documentation.
  • Familiarization with the FS before the start of the audit relevant contractual conditions, sales-related
  • peculiarities, scope, schedule, layout, subcontractors, project instructions, permit to
  • work system, processes on construction site, contact persons on the construction site, handling of
  • findings, claim management,
  • Check invoices of the subcontractors and release
  • The site manager attends where required daily meetings with the customer and ensure that all technical
  • related issues are addressed and managed.
  • The site manager prepares the daily report to the PM and back office and documents site activities,
  • QEHS Topics, Outage issues and Resources.
  • Implementation of daily safety briefings
  • Use of the authority to issue instructions to the HSE
  • Creation of accident reports and, if necessary, cooperation in the accident analysis
  • Initiation of the return of rental tools
  • Preparation and submission of the final assembly report in timely manner after outage completion
  • Independent transfer of work tasks to the shift managers or working parties.
  • Obligation to cooperate in order to comply with legal regulations, in particular the Working Time Act
  • and associated individual requirements, also abroad. 

What You Bring / Skills, Capabilities

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in Power Generation industry, with relevant knowledge of Gas Turbines.
  • General profound understanding of technical equipment and ability to work with/based on technical documentation. Knowledge of general power plant technology
  • Experience in power plant operations and maintenance and/or specific Siemens Gas or Steam turbine operations and maintenance know-how is an advantage.
  • Excellent knowledge of English suitable for everyday use and other languages are beneficial
  • Strong analytical skills with an affinity to technology and innovation combined with a proactive and convincing attitude
  • Team player with high level of resilience, the ability to work independently under pressure, multitask and focus on problem solving in a complex environment collaborating with international teams
  • High degree of flexibility, unrestricted mobility, ability to work in a team and communication skills in relation to foreign countries and cultures
  • Willing to extensively travel internationally on short notice and work flexible hours
