A Snapshot of Your Day
As an Engineering Postgraduate Intern, you will assist the R&D team in development projects for gas turbine products. This role provides an opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across various disciplines such as product development, manufacturing, and assembly and offers a chance to grow professionally within Siemens Energy's diverse initiatives in future energy generation solutions.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Assist the R&D team in development projects for current and new gas turbine products and components.
- Contribute to the development within the test validation facility in order to continuously improve the measured validation data.
- Collaborate with colleagues within product development, manufacturing and assembly by providing technical advice and support
- Independently support problem solving tasks and risk analysis.
- Opportunity to perform component validation tests in our test facility in Europe – Build, mount and dismount the testing facilities used for components validation.
- Develop your competence and professional life within Siemens Energy’s diverse local & global initiatives and opportunities in future energy generation solutions.
What You Bring
- Pursuing MSc or PhD within the areas of fluid dynamics, combustion, energy, physics or equivalent.
- Relevant experience from university or industry on component testing with regards to fluid dynamics, heat transfer or combustion data measurement is desirable.
- Familiarity with measurement systems applied on fluid dynamics, heat transfer or combustion is also desirable.
- Experience from gas turbine sector is also appreciated, for example in development, testing or commissioning.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
