A Snapshot of Your Day
As an Engineering Postgraduate Intern, you will assist the R&D team. This role provides an opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across various disciplines such as electronics, measurement chains or software development for data storage management and offers a chance to grow professionally within Siemens Energy's diverse initiatives in future energy generation solutions.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Assist the R&D team to maintain and develop measurement methods and technologies to deliver continuous upgrades on Siemens Energy portfolio characterized by highly safe, reliable and efficient equipment.
- Contribute to validating new design concepts and developments applied on final products on the market. The prototype design validation is conducted in our labs or on the engine test beds in Europe.
- Initial work will involve displacement measurements (capacitive measurements) and strain gauges.
- Support colleagues in other measurement areas based on your knowledge, such as within electronics, measurement chains or software development for data storage management.
- Develop your competence and professional life within Siemens Energy’s diverse local & global initiatives and opportunities in future energy generation solutions.
What You Bring
- Bachelor (or pursuing MSc) within relevant areas connected with electronics and measurement technology
- Relevant work experience with electronics and measurement technology is desirable.
- Experience with measurement systems applied on industrial systems is also desirable.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is required due to close collaboration with workshop personnel.
- A curious mind with the dedication to learn and try out new things.
