A Snapshot of Your Day

An Electrical Supervisor is a key role for Siemens Energy on the IPP Synchronous Condenser Projects to ensure that all works undertaken during construction, installation and handover related to electrical equipment and systems are completed in line with the contract, specifications, and drawings; it is a crucial role in ensuring that electrical installations are carried out correctly, safely, and in compliance with relevant codes and standards.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Supervise Electrical Installation: Be responsible for the operation of all electrical work activities, contractors, personnel and suppliers involved in the installation of electrical systems. Guarantee that all work is performed efficiently and in accordance with all Siemens Energy guidelines, procedures and policies, as well as applicable safety codes and regulations.
  • Quality Control Verification: Conduct regular inspections and audits of electrical work to ensure quality and alignment to specifications. Identify any issues or deviations from plans and initiate corrective actions.
  • Blueprint Review: Examine electrical blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand the scope of work and to ensure that installations are carried out as designed. Provide feedback and suggest modifications if vital.
  • Technical Questions and Answers: Serve as a point of contact for any technical inquiries from the team. Provide expert advice and solutions to problems encountered during the installation process and coordinate all changes from Site using the agreed process.
  • Wiring Verification: Compare actual wiring installations against schematics, wiring diagrams, and Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) to ensure that they match and are correctly implemented. Address any discrepancies and ensure corrections are made.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and empower a team of electricians and other workers, providing guidance and training as needed. Handle schedules and assign tasks to ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Safety Compliance: Implement strict safety guidelines and promote a culture of safety on the job site. Conduct safety meetings and training sessions to ensure that all team members are aware of and make sure to safety protocols.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor or a similar leadership role in the electrical power generation/transmission field for at least 4 years.
  • Proven understanding of electrical systems, installation practices, and safety standards.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and Single Line Diagrams.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve sophisticated electrical issues
  • Familiarity with electrical regulations and building codes.
  • Certification or degree in electrical engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficient in English
  • 100% availability to travel abroad
