A Snapshot of Your Day 

As an EQS Professional, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and implementing Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) and Quality standards at Siemens Energy Türkiye, including various worksites. By collaborating closely with EQS functions, you will ensure that the Integrated Management System aligns with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards, meets SE EQS standards, customer requirements and complies with local legislation.

In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for implementing regional EQS activities, primarily for Gas Services in Türkiye. Additionally, you will ensure the continuity of EQS services by coordinating EQS efforts across the available business areas and functions within Türkiye, leading a small team of EHS professionals:

1. Environmental & Energy Management: Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and implementing sustainable practices. Supporting carbon reduction through energy management initiatives.
2. Health and Safety: Overseeing workplace safety, conducting risk assessments, and promoting health initiatives.
3. Quality Assurance: Maintaining service quality standards, conducting audits, and managing quality control processes.
4. Compliance: Ensuring adherence to local and international regulations and standards.
5. Training and Development: Providing training programs to enhance EHS and Quality awareness and skills.
6. Incident Management: Supporting and investigating incidents to prevent future occurrences.
7. Continuous Improvement: Implementing strategies for ongoing improvement in EHS and Quality performance

How You’ll Make an Impact 

• Leadership & Guidance: Provide leadership, advice and specialised support in Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality to the local Leadership and Management teams of GS EU&AF based in Türkiye. Lead a small team of external EHS professionals in Türkiye.
• Risk Management: Develop, implement and maintain effective Integrated Management Systems that address EQS risks, meet customer and regulatory requirements, and fulfil Siemens Energy stakeholder business needs. Drive continuous improvement in culture and governance.
• Zero Harm Strategy & EQS Culture: Provide leadership and governance based on EQS policies and local legislation. Foster a positive ‘just’ culture throughout the organization with a strong focus on EQS.
• Collaboration: Maintain regular contact with the GS EU&AF EQS Regional team and work closely with local teams in Türkiye, including management involved the delivery of Project Management, Service Operations and Controls & Digitalization.

• Audits: Conduct internal audits, assist with non-conformity analysis, participate in corrective action proposals, measure and monitor quality and represent the company in external audits.
• KPI Reporting: Report on KPIs related to targets, analyse trends in incidents, accidents, non-conformities, customer satisfaction and implement appropriate measures. Suggest improvements or modifications to business processes to maintain efficiency.

• Training: Design, organize, and deliver training sessions to raise staff awareness on EQS topics.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Regularly liaise with external stakeholders, including customers, potential suppliers, contractors, third-party auditors/inspectors and other SE business areas.

What You Bring

• Degree/ Diploma or equivalent experience in Environmental Management and Health & Safety Management (A or B Class of Safety Expert Certificate)
• NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent is desirable
• Experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 Management Systems, along with Auditor Qualification in ISO Certifications

• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the energy sector
• Strong understanding of legislative, regulatory and international standards requirements, with the ability to stay updated on changes
• Experience in leading a team of EHS professionals, with good coaching and mentoring abilities.
• Knowledge of incident investigation and root cause analysis, including for Quality Non-Conformities, with the capability to lead incident investigations

• Awareness of temporary and contractor works
• Ability to design and deliver training sessions to enhance EQS culture awareness
• High proficiency in English
• Passion for driving continuous improvement initiatives
• Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
• Decisive with strong planning and facilitation skills
• Enthusiastic, result-oriented, customer focused and creative
• Strong conceptual problem-solving capabilities
• Willingness to travel (driving license required)
