A Snapshot of Your Day

The Health and Safety Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of Safety management systems to ensure that processes comply with organizational and regulatory standards. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, conduct audits and ensure compliance with specific ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications and standards.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Ensure the company's legal compliance of at least 98% in all aspects of EHS, developing clear and detailed legal compliance matrices.
  • Develop and implement the vital action plans for the GAPs detected in legal compliance.
  • Develop, manage and ensure compliance with the Annual EHS Training Plan based on Legal Requirements as well as Risks, Opportunities and needs of the local and corporate EHS Strategy, passionate about training efficiency and 100% compliance of the annual training.
  • Adequate development of training project.
  • Attendance of Inspection Visits with the appropriate level of issue.
  • Ensure compliance with zero harm requirements for forklifts, PPE and contractors.

Certifications

  • Ensure EMS and Safety Compliance (14k, 45k)
  • Participate in the process of Internal, EHS, Corporate, Customer and External Audits.

What You Bring

  • Environmental or Industrial Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in similar positions
  • Technical Knowledge: STPS regulations, SEMARNAT, Civil Protection, accident reduction strategies, analysis and problem solving, 14001, 45001.
  • Languages: Basic English
  • Skills / Competences: Analysis and Problem Solving, Communication and Negotiation, Teamwork.
  • Availability to travel. Desirable: Passport and valid Visa (USA and Canada).

You will belong to the EHS Department, where handle the objective of ensuring zero harm in our process. We work with a program that focuses on achieving the support and development of a SAFETY culture for our process approach.
