A Snapshot of your Day

We are looking for a Control System Service Engineer to join our service team in Dammam, KSA. In this role, you will be responsible for providing onsite technical support and expertise to our customers to ensure the optimal performance of our products and services.

As a Control System Service Engineer, you will play a critical role in identifying and resolving technical issues, providing training and support to customers, and working collaboratively with our sales and engineering teams to deliver exceptional customer service.

In this role you are mainly responsible for implementation, troubleshooting, and commissioning of Omnivise T3000 and PCS7 based Control Systems, TIA Portal, WinCC SCADA Systems and SIMATIC PLC (including cybersecurity) systems for a variety of industrial control system applications predominantly in the Water Industry, Power Generation and Oil & Gas sectors.

How you’ll make an impact?

  • Provide technical support to customers by troubleshooting and resolving issues with Siemens products and services
  • Conduct on-site installations, maintenance, and repairs of Siemens equipment and systems
  • Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to ensure successful implementation of Siemens products and services
  • Provide training and support to customers on the operation and maintenance of Siemens products and systems
  • Identify opportunities for product and service improvements based on customer feedback and field experience
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions and service activities
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Siemens products and services, industry trends, and technical developments
  • Implement cybersecurity configurations and solutions.
  • Implement and conduct cybersecurity services.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations and standards
  • Provide timely and effective communication to customers and internal stakeholders regarding service activities and issue resolution.

What you Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Process Engineering, Automation, I&C, Control System or a related field
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in Siemens T3000, PLC and SCADA commissioning and troubleshooting within the Oil & Gas or Water industries.
  • Hands on experience in T3000 and PCS7 including system virtualization and domain server configurations.
  • Good working knowledge of Siemens fail safe system including Safety Matrix, H-System CPUs, and logic Matrix.
  • Hands on experience on Modbus (TCP/IP and Serial), DNP3 and OPC interface.
  • Good knowledge of PCS 7 tele control including DBA configuration and on-site troubleshooting
  • Siemens Control Servers configuration including Server client architecture, Cyber security implementation and system hardening.
  • Hands-on experience on Switch Hardening including port configuration, V-LAN setting and user authorization.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with customers and internal teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel and work away when required (75% Travelling is required)
  • Valid driver's license

Preferred Knowledge and Skill

  • IEC61131 PLC Coding Standards.
  • IEC61508 Safety System
  • Ability to develop PCS7 and PLC programs based on reading schematics and interpreting customer specifications.
  • Ability to troubleshoot control loops and software program.
  • Network architecture design.
  • Industrial instrumentation selection, configuration, commissioning, and troubleshooting
  • Engineers with training in RTU’s, TMS, ESD, SCADA system will be given preference.
