Join our Compression Regional Service Sales within Siemens Energy TI Compression as a Client Manager supporting customers from the Oil & Gas, chemical and industrial sectors! The Client Manager is the owner of the client relationship, and is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, meeting client requirements and driving Services bookings growth within their respective territory. You will lead all aspects of business and opportunity development from the initial stages through order entry.
This position is primarily focused on Spain & Portugal markets and reports to the Head of Sales Region WE, SWE, NORDICS and Germany. You'll be involved in some of the most exciting and challenging service and modernization projects within these industries. This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under challenging deadlines.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Develop and manage long-term relationships with assigned clients. Provide voice of the client needs/competitive intelligence, market drivers and buying influences for the development of new product and service offerings.
- Proactively and systematically prospect the market aiming to generate new leads and opportunities. Understand the evaluation and decision-making process of customers and develop a strategy to position Siemens Energy ahead of the competition.
- Develop and implement the sales capture plan (annual plan) and strategy around each customer in your responsibilities, incorporating the customer needs, equipment application, Siemens Energy strengths, competitor’s weaknesses and a robust market level pricing recommendation based on the assessment of competitive position.
- Identify advanced business opportunities (LMU) and support RPDM in developing and successfully closing such opportunities.
- Identify, create and maintain a robust opportunity pipeline in Salesforce to support the overall business sales target. Own the Sales target in the assigned territory. Effectively manage opportunities via CRM Tool (Salesforce.com), ensuring opportunities are regularly updated. Maintain the accuracy (within Salesforce.com) of the entire installed equipment population, including operating status and planned outages, and client data in the assigned territory.
- Prepare, coordinate and conduct proposal negotiations until closure of the opportunities in cooperation with other involved professionals. Conduct Win/Loss analyses and provide input to fighting guides and regional competitive analyses.
What You Bring
- Proven track record in getting results, delivering on growth strategies and proactive creation & conversion of sales opportunities in complex market environments.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering required with a minimum 5 years of experience in Energy industry and at least 3 years in sales/business development role.
- Turbomachinery experience/knowledge is mandatory, strong technical understanding of industrial compressors is preferred.
- Proficient in communication, both written and spoken, be able to discuss technical and commercial aspects. Business English speaking and writing skills are vital.
- Ability to work independently and interact with all levels within customer organization, strong analytical and strategic problem solver with a focus on technical differentiation and value selling
- Willingness to travel as required.
About the Team
The Client Manager, who belongs to our TI department, operates primarily as a lone wolf, focused on securing order intake and enhancing customer satisfaction. While often solo in front of clients, the Client Manager is supported by technical support teams, RPDM, Finance, Legal, project and back-office teams located in the Region or PCCs.
Our Transformation of Industry (TI) division is decarbonizing the industrial sector. Increasing electrification and efficiency are key and demand for green H2 and derivative fuels will rise.
